Η ... πνευματική ελίτ

Σαλπάρω ήρεμος για τον άλλο κόσμο. Αυτόν που αφήνω πίσω μου σίγουρα δεν είναι πια η Ελλάδα μου. Αυτός είναι άλλος τόπος με ανθρώπους άλλης φυλής. Δεν με αφορούν. Τι θέλω εγώ ανάμεσά τους; Να … Γ.Α. Μαγκάκης «Αυτός ο τόπος δεν είναι πια η Ελλάδα μου»

Είναι μετρημένοι στα δάχτυλα οι συνάδελφοι που θα δηλώσουν δημόσια και επώνυμα πως πιστεύουν (αν πιστεύουν) ότι το πολιτικό σύστημα είναι διεφθαρμένο και φέρει την κύρια ευθύνη
για τη σημερινή κατάσταση της χώρας. Αδυνατεί δε να οδηγήσει τη χώρα έξω από την κρίση (και αυτό το δείχνουν οι πρακτικές του τα 3 χρόνια).

Η παρακάτω αιτιολόγηση συναδέλφου στην ερώτηση μου γιατί δεν ανησυχεί με τις εξελίξεις λέει πολλά.

Εμάς δεν μπορούν να μας διώξουν. Μας προστατεύει το Σύνταγμα. Εξάλλου μην ξεχνάς πως ήμαστε η πνευματική ελίτ αυτού του τόπου. Αν το σύστημα τα βάλει μαζί μας ποιος θα το στηρίξει.

Πολύ φοβάμαι πως δεν είναι λίγοι αυτοί που σκέφτονται ανάλογα.

Πέτρο, τα ιδιωτικά Πανεπιστήμια θα φέρουν τον ανταγωνισμό και ένα σωρό προνόμια που απολαμβάνουν οι εργαζόμενοι σε αυτό (έχω αναφέρει πολλά στο παρελθόν) θα χαθούν. Είναι ακόμη πολύς κόσμος «βολεμένος» στη χώρα αυτή και πιστεύει ακόμη πως μπορεί να διατηρήσει τα προνόμια του. Και πρώτα από όλα, όσοι ασκούν Διοίκηση, με πρωτοστάτες τους "επαγγελματίες" πολιτικούς μας.

One may wonder what happens in other areas that many of us do not understand. Clearly without developments and without creation of jobs and investments nothing will improve and we will stay with enjoying our theories while watching people getting squeezed financially from all directions.

At least this forum of academics should push for something that they clearly have expertise on that will help the country in the direction of development and job creation and pay less attention to debates whose only outcome in most cases  is to exercise intellectual curiosity
